"SLOWLY SINKING - This is the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, where in 1531 the Virgin of Guadalupe was said to have appeared on the site. Sanctuary was originally a small chapel. But complex has grown. Here it appears somewhat tilted. Problem is that it rests on a slippery clay subsoil and buildings are sinking. Catholic Church and government are engaged in a program to restore the complex."
